Pike on Ice

Back to Blog

In spite of the infamous “Polar Vortex”, the East Coast crew found a little down time to get out and do some fishing last week. As always, we are most grateful for the friends and family who take time out of their busy schedule to put us up for a night or two, feed us a home cooked meal and even take us out in search fish… even if it is below freezing.

Following the Minneapolis show the crew made their way to Emily, MN for Super Bowl Sunday and a day out on the lake pulling Northern Pike through the ice. The day was damn near perfect, temps reached the early teens and the sun shown bright.  With ‘Tip Ups’ locked and loaded, we managed 4 Northern Pike through the ice. Huge thanks to our friend Chinker who showed us what Northern Pike fishing is all about in Central Minnesota!
